Surprisingly, selling books is not a great money-maker. Therefore, I supplement my income with public appearances. My fee for a standalone one-hour local Author presentation in the Port Angeles, Sequim, and Forks area is $300. If you’d like to add a before or after-school session on top of a school visit, an extra $200 is added to the fee.

For schools more than 50 miles away but within a three-hour drive from Port Angeles, Washington, schools pay travel and lodging expenses. To reduce costs for out of state or Washington destinations that are out of the local area, consider contacting other schools in your area. When I do several visits in the same area, schools can split the travel costs.
