Pam Fries

Pam Fries is an award-winning Artist, as well as Illustrator and Author of the much-loved children's book, “Something's Eating the Garden”. She resides in Port Angeles, Washington.  She enjoys speaking to schools and Women's groups where she encourages and speaks on hope.

Her book has been featured on Fox 15 Kidlit TV, in newspapers, and she has been a guest on multiple podcasts.

The publishing of her book has been one of pain and grace. "Something's Eating The Garden", is about her first granddaughter and husband in his amazing garden. With his encouragement, she pursued illustrating and the publishing of her book. During the process, her husband got very ill and passed away a couple of months before it was to be published.

After being together for 40 years, Pam was lost after he died. Life was so different without her life partner. But because of God's Grace, the book gave her purpose again. It gave her confidence and wings to fly on her own. She feels totally blessed, even though life is different these days.

When Pam is not working on books or illustrating for others, she paints commissioned pet portraits and spends time with her family. She is looking forward to the day that she can just paint for herself and explore mediums and techniques she has not been able to have time to do.
